NOAH MANNE
CLINICAL PSYCHOTHERAPIST (LMFT)
MINDFULNESS / MEDITATION TEACHER
LIFE COACH
I became a psychotherapist as part of an overall commitment to exploring the many different paths to healing and wellbeing. My style is warm, collaborative, flexible and respectful.
The goal is to have the best possible experience of living. We cannot accomplish that by rewriting our history, yet together you and I can engage in a process where we understand what your past means to you and the impact it has on your current behaviors and relationships, in order to make space for new meanings and new responses to things and a better experience of living. A better experience of living means staying present with your life as you experience it, not drowning in past regrets and resentments or getting swept away by fear of the future.
Your beliefs about yourself are informed by your lifetime of relational experiences. Together we will observe what goes on interpersonally in our therapeutic relationship and get a sense of what feels familiar to you and what feels different. While being present to your discomfort and pain, we will also identify what has been working for you and what has been helping you to thrive in your life, so that you can create new skills and meanings of things out of that. Remember that we build on our assets and strengths.
My professional experience has been varied, which has allowed me the privilege of working with diverse populations and clinical presentations. I have worked with people with various mood disorders, widely different cultural and ethnic backgrounds, ages, gender identities and sexual orientations, developmental and situational trauma histories, and medical problems and chronic illness/pain. The common thread of my diverse practice has been the humanity that we all bring to the therapeutic process and that provides the underpinning to every relationship.
I supervise Marriage and Family Therapy Associates (AMFT) and provide consultation to other licensed therapists.
